OUR HISTORY

The Origin of Our Name

In the spring of 2018, our family relocated to a remote area in the picturesque southern Kentucky. We truly began from scratch, clearing our land and pursuing a vision that Yah (God) had instilled in our hearts for quite some time: to establish our homestead and initiate a Set Apart breeding program.

One morning, while engaging with The Word, God revealed to me the name and complete vision for Von Hudson K9 Kennel. Our intention was to distinguish ourselves from other breeders through our genetics and future pedigree aspirations, diligently working to produce dependable and suitable Dutchies for both working and non-working environments. Our aim was to breed high-quality working dogs with the finest genetics available.

GETTING STARTED

The First FCI
Dutch Shepherds

After four years of research and discussions with breeders abroad, we opted for working line Romanian and Dutch bloodlines. We noted remarkable nerve and workability in the selected lineages, along with exceptional calmness and shutdown capabilities.

We chose to import our initial group of FCI Dutch Shepherds and have been fascinated by these lineages ever since, suitable for both working and non-working environments. Collaborating from afar, we meticulously selected each import to enhance our selective breeding program, and we are extremely pleased with the results. Through various pairings and breedings, we have developed a remarkable, genetically robust dog that excels in any task or role.

From Tier 1 working dogs for law enforcement or military use to family protection dogs and companions, we have successfully produced numerous service dogs for veterans and outstanding scent detection dogs—our clients are very happy with their Dutch Shepherds!
